NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX Super series has been here for a few months and we had yet to get our hands on an RTX 2080 Super. Well that has all changed as have a fresh RTX 2080 Super in the office. The RTX 2080 Super like its other “Super” siblings is an upgrade over its predecessor (RTX 2080), but it is still based on the same TU104 silicon that we saw on the RTX 2080. NVIDIA has maxed out this silicon with 3072 CUDA cores across the cards 48 SMs. The 8GB of GDDR6 has also been given a slight upgrade from 14 Gbps to 15.5 Gbps. The RTX 2080 Super that we are taking a look at today comes from Zotac and it is their AMP card. The AMP (not be the confused with the AMP Extreme) features a slight bump in its boost clock up to 1845 MHz (compared to 1815 MHz reference) a 16+4 power phase design, and a hefty cooling solution.
