wxMP3val is actually a visual representation of the command-line for checking MPEG audio files' integrity. It can be useful for finding corrupted files (i.e., incompletely downloaded, truncated, containing garbage). wxMP3val should also able to repair most of the problems it encounters.

To start the process, hit scan, this will open up a progress slider and status indicator. The completion time will depend on the size and number of files being processed for errors. Once completed, wxMP3val will indicate the issues. You can then go on to repair the found problems.
