WindowsSpyBlocker is a set of Open Source firewall rules to allow advanced users to block Windows spying and telemetry.

It accomplishes this using multiple tools to capture and log traffic located in the data folder where you run the app.

You have 3 options on the main screen:

1: Firewall: Add or remove firewall rules and resolve IP addresses.
2: NCSI: Apply an alternative NCSI and test your internet connection with Windows tools.
3: Dev: Several tools used by WindowsSpyBlocker including Wireshark, Sysmon, and Proxifier.

Each of the three categories has subcategories to display current settings, test current settings, apply WindowsSpyBlocker settings, and logging. There are separate rules for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. You can also remove the WindowsSpyBlocker rules if you're not happy.

WindowsSpyBlocker does a nice job of managing spying, or telemetry with the firewall but while it can remove applied settings, it lacks the ability to backup your settings first.

WindowsSpyBlocker uses Microsoft PowerShell. Here is a tutorial on using PowerShell if you're new to it:
