Microsoft has released the second Windows Package Manager 1.8 release candidate build for Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11. HTTP Proxy support, WinGet Configuration Mixed Elevation Mode via COM, and WinGet Package Icon via COM are among the features. The updates include updating the WinGet Download standard with precise PS cmdlet assistance, introducing CDN troubleshooting steps, optimizing the fuzzing code coverage process, and more. The update also fixes issues with the x86 platform, SQLite wrapper, and PowerShellCmdlet.
