If you attempt to navigate to a malicious link that matches one on the list, Windows Defender Browser Protection will show a red warning screen letting you know that the web page you are about to visit is known to be harmful allowing you back to safety with one click. Additionally, you can also report a malicious site right from the app but make sure the reporting is accurate information as there is a verification process - and it is Microsoft, so they will certainly know who you are!
