Win11PrivacyFix is a Windows 11 privacy app and system tweaker to limit what data is sent to Microsoft.

Before you get started, you have to activate by email, something we're not a fan of. They allow you to make all the available changes without paying for the app, so the 10.00 € ($11.30 US) is more of a donation that adds additional tweaks.

You are initially offered three options: Cloak Recommended and Default, making using the app simpler as we advance. We chose Recommended to begin, knowing that we had many choices to make afterward.

Next, you can choose your settings in the following categories:

Date protection - Disable web search, telemetry, background apps, advertising ID, camera access, calendar access, etc.
Explorer - Hidden files, often used files or folders, fast access, and more.
System - Numlock on or off.
Tweak - Do Not Track, Widget visibility, Taskbar alignment, and more.
App - Uninstall Windows default apps.

Each option has a flyout explaining the setting by hovering over the I.

Truly protecting your privacy nowadays is difficult. Win11PrivacyFix can, however, protect your privacy as much as possible. Win11PrivacyFix is easy to use, but if you don't understand what you're disabling, you risk breaking apps or features that require some of these settings. Luckily, there is a default setting, but you might want to create a restore point before starting, just in case.
