ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the WD Black SN750 1TB Solid State Drive A quote from the article:
Western Digital recently has announced a new high performance NVMe drive in their WD Black SN750. This will be their third generation NVMe drive. The first two were just called “WD Black”, which was confusing to some, especially when both products were available at retailers at different prices. So WD has added the “SN750” to this generation. What else is new? Well not all that much, WD is still using the same in-house controller and 64L 3D NAND, but they have refined the firmware. Being that the controller is designed in-house it gives WD the ability to make changes and optimizations. Also we get some new branding, which is really geared towards gamers. With the new firmware optimizations this drive boasts sequential read and write speeds of 3470 MB/s and 3000 MB/s respectively, which makes it one of the fastest drives available! Let’s take a look!
