The main problem so far with hydrogene powered engines and to make them viable would be to build a gigantic supply network and fix all the problem related with transporting large quantities and storing hydrogene right ? Well a very smart Canadian company fixed this...
they managed to create a process in which some certain SECRET (so far) chemicals, one revealed is alluminum, are stored in containers in a car (or near any kind of engine), you then just fill it up with WATER and the chemicals will be combined with the water and a reaction will transform the water into hydrogene!!!! So no need to have an hydrogene supply network, just some conveniente containers that need no special supply network and a fosset!! And by the way, most any combustion engine can run on hydrogene!
I am sure you guys realize how stunning ramifications of this discovery are!

They have already made a corporate demo and have a video demonstrating a smaller engine.
