I wrote an article on my blog about building the ultimate PC at www.kmaximo.blogspot.com
This being an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe system. My brother built this PC to a T and he is having nothing but problems.
The first problem is that when you want to put 4 Gig of RAM in the system (4) 1 gig sticks which the system is supposed to be able to handle. Only (2) sticks are ever seen but yet the RAM in my article was on the QVL list originally for running with 4 sticks in Dual Channel mode but if you go look now they changed it from their original QVL list and removed a V from the third column for the Kingston 1024 RAM???
This can be seen here: http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket939/a8nsli-d/overview.htm
Second comes Dual 6800 Series PCIe video cards when running in SLI mode in any game nothing but artifacts are displayed across the middle of screen as if interference is causing it?
Now looking all over the NET it seems this is becomming common place with all the 6800 Series cards on an SLI system???
I know this is new technology but if you are going to sell something with recomendations then turn around and change those recomendations or not back it up or even fix it for that matter?
This is the same as False Advertisement!!!
So buyer beware when building this Ultimate PC, I know many that are and are looking into it so be forewarned.
