WakeUp controls your system's automatic suspend/resume feature with the additional possibility of suspending or invoking certain actions on an automatic resume.

With WakeUp, you can disable screen blanking, prevent the system from automatically entering a suspend state or hibernation, and entering a suspend state if connections are active on one or more of the specified TCP ports. It can automatically resume the system once at a specified date or regularly at a specified time, choose between Sleep or Hibernation (if supported by your system), and run an application, a command file or open an URL upon automatic resume. You can also have the system to automatically enter a suspended state after a specified amount of time after an automatic resume.

WakeUp is simple to set up through the user-friendly interface and should not be considered just a shutdown scheduler as you can see by some of the features above. But the one that caught our eye is the ability to run an app or open a URL when your PC resumes - nice way to be ready to roll as soon as you sit down at the machine.
