Techseekers.net has looked at the VIA CL-10000 mini-itx motherboard. With Dual LAN it seems ideally suited to networking and routing. Not only did they test it under Windows XP, but with Fedora linux, and IP Cop also. They also test using a Gigabit Ethernet card to see can the CL-10000 keep up with it.
VIA have done it again. They have created a unique board for a unique market. For those of you wishing to create a little firewall or a quick network file server, the CL-10000 is an excellent choice. I remember when I got my first VIA Eden board, and I noted that it would be ideal if it had a second network port. And now the platform does. Having the second port on the board opens up new possibilites for the PCI slot.
