USB 007 can lock and monitor all activity on any of your USB ports.USB 007 has isn't portable, which would be nice. The interface is gray and white with an industrial feel that is nice to look at and easy to use. Your email and a default password are required to begin. We noticed this is for password recovery and didn't receive any emails or spam during our tests.One of USB 007's weaknesses is the lack of options. We'd like to be able to have the app close to the tray when you exit, for example. There's also no start with Windows options, so we're not sure if a locked drive remains locked after a reboot. There's a default sound that can't be disabled or changed.Once we inserted a thumb drive, USB 007 was able to note the time connected, files, folders, total space, free space, and used space and a breakdown of folders. We then deleted a few files from the drive, and there was no notification that files were deleted so it appears that while it can monitor what is inserted and removed, it appears that it won't tell you about any activity, even when we refreshed the drive. Locking and unlocking the drive did so without entering the password, yet another miss for this app. There's no point in licking anything if anyone can unlock it.USB 007 has a few shortcomings but delivers on the promise of tracking and locking your USB drives, albeit a bit overly simplistic.
