The interface is straightforward enough; you get two choices, uninstall and prevent. The uninstall button, once pressed, works by locating the setup.exe program in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\. That is the program utilized to uninstall Microsoft Edge via command arguments –uninstall –system-level –verbose-logging –force-uninstall when you click the Uninstall Edge button. The Prevent Edge button adds the following registry key: “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\” with key: “DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium” with value “1”. This registry change will prevent Edge from installing in the future.

Uninstall Edge is a simple option for preventing and uninstalling Microsoft Edge from your Windows 10/11 machine without manually making the needed changes making it a good choice for even the most novice of users.

It is always advised when performing actions like those included in Uninstall Edge; you should create a restore point and backup your data just in case you run into an issue.
