You need to build up your bases, prepare your team, and then dive head-first into the fast and flowing turn-based combat. This game is inspired, in part, by the X-COM series by Mythos Games and MicroProse. But it is not a remake at any stretch. UFO: Alien Invasion is a squad-based tactical strategy game where you are in control of a secret organization charged with defending Earth from a brutal alien enemy. It combines military realism with cool science-fiction, the unique dilemma of an alien invasion in a turn-based system giving you total control of your squad while keeping it excitingly fast-paced.

UFO: Alien Invasion offers single and multiplayer games. You have two modes; campaign - which is a military-themed invasion scenario where you assume command of project PHALANX which is Earth's response protocol to an alien invasion and includes multiple skill levels. Then there is the skirmish mode; this is a general fight in different selectable alien engagement venues that allow you to choose the time of day, UFO type, dropship, etc., making it an excellent proving ground to hone your skills before taking on a full single or multi-player campaign.
