UCheck can check your computer for out-of-date apps as well as hardware and system drivers.

UCheck is simple to use; click start and wait as it checks how many programs you have installed and sees if they are updated and checks for driver updates. You can also download optional software that contains a list of some of the better-known programs. However, that's a freemium feature. It accurately found software we knew was out of date.

Drivers, on the other hand, it missed by a long shot. UCheck wanted to install Intel Watchdog Timer, NVIDIA drivers, and Intel system, whatever that is. There's no explanation about what these drivers are, and the NVIDIA drivers (at the time of this review) are listed as 22.21.13.8494 from July 18, 2017, but they should be 385.41 from August 26, 2017. The weird version number leads us to believe UCheck just checks against Windows Update drivers, which has never been very good, and most geeks avoid using it.

Other basic settings are also freemium features stripping this app down. Start with Windows is a freemium feature? Changing the language is the only option you can change.

Adlice has many useful apps, so we're going to give them a chance and see how this progresses.

After all, it did detect every out-of-date program and even suggested we download CCleaner manually.
