I noticed in some forums, including ours and the Warp2Search.De forums, that some people have an bootlag on WinXP when they start their computer.
I found out why that happend and I can tell you, how to remove the bootlag. Read More The problem:
WindowsXP starts normaly but when you see your your desktop, WindowsXP makes a break form round about 30 seconds and you can do nothing at the desktop.
After that, XP runs normal.
How to remove the break:
Open up your network configuration panel and remove TCP/IP from your network adapter.
TCP / IP should be only connected to your dialup adapter.
But remember, without TCP /IP on your network adapter your not able to access your local network.
Another way how to remove the lag:
Open up your TCP / IP poperties from your network adapter and type in an IP Adress like 192.9.99.1 na a subnetmask like 255.255.255.0
I have tested it with an DSL Connection on a stand alone PC and it work fine for me!
