This is pretty comical in a sad, give me publicity sort of way. Apparently Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council seems to think that the MMO game Star Wars: The Old Republic is all about homosexual activity, something that is surprising to anyone in the know since Bioware has said that homosexuals and lesbians do not exist in the Star Wars universe.

As you can see by his one comment, he is not only wrong but by claiming that gay relationships were added as a special feature is an out and outright lie.

“In a new Star Wars game, the biggest threat to the empire may be homosexual activists!” Perkins announced during his daily radio commentary. “In a galaxy not so far far away, Star Wars gamers have already gone to the dark side. The new video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has added a special feature: gay relationships.”

It’s 2012 Mr. Perkins, get over it or at least get your facts straight. Then again, roll with it, every time someone starts up one of these campaigns it tends to drive publicity to the product that offends them. Remember Married with Children, the TV show?
