Ti4200: Voltage Modifications Guide

Published by

XtremeSystems is pleased to announce that a guide was just posted up on Volt Modding the ABIT Siluro Ti4200 OTES. This mod was originally developed by our Volt Mod Technician DDTUNG, and implemented on an original Siluro Ti4200 by our forum m8 Sysfailur. This guide is an adaptation of the original mod on the newer OTES card. As many of you know, the Ti4200's can differ in their layout very much as this OTES card did from the original Siluro. The bottom line is that these inexpensive Ti4200's can be made to perform as well or in some cases better than their more expensive Ti4600 cunterparts for a fraction of the cost.

"With the Nvidia Ti4200 cards so plentiful today, I thought it would be a nice break from high performance benching with the Radeon 9700 Pro to turn my sights to the Ti4200. This ABIT Siluro Ti4200 OTES was provided to me for testing and evaluation purposes. In the midst of testing, I started checking out Futuremark's ORB to see what kind of numbers were being achieved with the baby of the GF4 family. I was truly amazed to see the sheer numbers of guys benching these puppies, and of course the fastest of them all at the top of the ORB sits the great 3DMark bencher and overclocker Sami Mackinen, or as he's better known in the high performance computing circles, macci. So from this increase in interest in the card came my desire to try to attain the most I could get out of it and try to join macci at the top of the Ti4200 class."
