Tagstoo is a unique way to tag files and folders with icons and any text you like.

Tagstoo has you start by selecting a database and naming it. Then you can add tags to use later quickly. Icons are also available to distinguish each tag. You can delete and edit your tags anytime. We recommend you edit in full screen as we found some things disappeared off-screen (you can scroll) when using at smaller sizes.

Tagstoo is a very novel idea, but we had a few issues. There's no drag-and-drop or any right-click options, for example. We also found tagging files and folders to be difficult. Eventually, we discovered the one place you can drag-and-drop was dragging tags to a folder. While we were able to tag folders, we spent 15 minutes trying to tag an image file with no luck.

Overall we found the interface to be cumbersome, a tad cluttered and the worst part was the colors. You will find white, blue, green, red, and for some bizarre reason, wood grain. The colors should be more subtle, using slightly varying colors to draw your eyes to specific areas.

Tagstoo almost didn't make the cut here, but we think the potential is there and hope the author is listening.
