Syncthing is a portable Open Source replacement from proprietary sync and cloud services designed to be safe, secure, and decentralized.

It works by continuously synchronizing files between two or more computers making user interaction very limited and only required if absolutely necessary. And it utilizes a GUI that is browser-based which permits you to configure and monitor file-sharing activity easily.

Syncthing gives you control over where your data is stored, and whether it's shared with third parties as well as how it gets transmitted over the Internet. This file sharing differs from other similar apps by not storing your data anywhere else by not using any third party servers. Any communications are secured via TLS and as an additional bit of security, each and every node is identified using a strong cryptographic certificate. Only the nodes you have explicitly allowed will be able to connect to your cluster.
