The pcAnywhere Packager can now create a smaller host package that does not require a reboot upon installation to provide basic remote control functionality.
Logging Enhancements:
With the latest additions to logging, failed attempts to connect to pcAnywhere due to incorrect serial number or unauthorized TCP/IP address will be captured. This will include the TCP/IP address of the person who is trying to connect and the time of the attempt.
Status Icon:
pcAnywhere v10.5 adds new information in the System Tray to give status on who is connected to your computer. Information includes Computer name and length of connection. This preview beta is time-stamped and will expire on November 30 2001.
We are very interested in your feedback on this product. We will give away 25 FREE copies of pcAnywhere 10.5 to the first 25 beta users that submit undocumented bugs. We will also randomly select 25 beta users who complete the beta survey after installing and testing the beta release.
