Star Wars Is Junk... Literally.

What do you get when you merge old typewriters, scrap computer parts, artistic vision and…. Star Wars? You get this!

Introducing Gabriel Dishaw, an Indianapolis artist with a preference for the mechanical, the old, and the awesome. Using up-cycled materials found in adding machines, typewriters, and computers, Dishaw creates beautifully unique and innovative sculptures of all shapes and sizes.

"I begin each sculpture with an idea of how can I take these found pieces of useless metal and insignificant objects and create something that everyone can understand and relate to," says Dishaw.

"I find myself looking at ordinary mechanical items to see how I could turn that something, into something else not originally. My mission is to create dialogue and help find creative ways of dealing with this discarded tech in an environmentally sound way. "

It doesn't get much better than that; amazing sculptures, environmentally responsible use of materials, and Star Wars.

Here is one of my personal favorites:

Someone, please buy this for me. It's only $7,500! Heh.
