MajorGeeks friend, Kleinkinstein, recommended it and is a devout Greenshot user but also enjoys the additional functions provided by this tool.
Using Snipaste for both captured images and various clipboard content can quickly be rendered to the desktop as floating windows. Any of these windows can be moved, organized into groups, and saved to files. Any created result can easily be saved as PNG, JPG, and BMP files, or if you prefer to have it close at hand, you can send it right to the clipboard for quick use when needed. You can also perform many essential functions while utilizing Snipaste, like rotation, zoom, translucence, etc.
Snipaste will also grab colors, support multiple themes, auto-detect UI elements, have a history playback function, and include multi-screen and HiDP (retina display) support.
