Skullcandy makes a return to the gaming headset market after nearly a decade with a new lineup including the PLYR which we are taking a look at today. The PLYR is a wireless headset that also supports wired 3.5mm or USB connection, features 50mm drivers and 20Hz - 20KHz frequency response, and is priced at $129.99 USD.

The PLYR weighs more than the SLYRs because of the batteries, but Skullcandy was able to reduce that difference to only 39g. With a minimal weight increase over the wired headsets, the PLYR manages to pack in up to 24 hours of battery life. If you’re prone to losing things, the PLYR has built-in Tile tracking technology for locating the headset via smartphone. The PLYR also supports the Enhanced Sound Perception hearing test to allow users to better custom-tailor and calibrate the headset. The Skullcandy PLYR is compatible with PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and mobile platforms.
