SimplySync Backup is a freeware and portable app to back up and synchronize your folders.

SimplySync Backup has a straightforward layout for any skill level. Start at the top and select your backup and destination folder(s). You can add a folder pair, edit or remove any backups you set up at any time.

Moving downwards, you can select the backup type.

Common Backup to copy files from the source to the destination overwriting any files in place. This is the most brute way of backing up files.

Restore mode works like Common mode, only in reverse. In other words, it will copy files from the destination to the source, overwriting any files in place.

Strict Backup is a little different because it deletes destination files that don't exist.

Sync mode will only copy the newest files from the source to the destination and the source.

Moving down, you have some additional backup options. You can use the update method (overwrite only outdated files), skip copying system files, and skip copying hidden files.

Here you will notice settings that allow you to install, rather than use portable, with more settings relating to how it's installed, and you can associate the app with .sall files.

Now that you've got everything set up as you like, you can choose from Open, Save, Save As, or Start Backup.

SimplySync Backup is a well-thought-out backup and synchronization app that anyone will enjoy. Navigating from top to bottom makes using SimplySync Backup easy. We wouldn't mind seeing a scheduler built-in.
