Last week I took a close look at the Sentey Aphelion gaming mouse which proved to be a very well-made peripheral with less-than-optimal software. The California-based company was kind enough to send us its entry level gaming keyboard, the Sentey Phoenix. We are looking at a full backlit unit featuring silica-gel based switches and seven dedicated macro keys. The Phoenix also comes with a substantial accessories package, a high quality braided cable, and a nice soft touch coating on the faceplate.

Sentey is positioning the Phoenix in the $59.99 USD range and a quick look online shows that the product is available through some major channels such as eBay and Amazon. Being a relatively new player in the peripheral market segment, Sentey is catering to gamers that want an extra advantage while keeping the budget under control. The Phoenix is equipped with 128KB on-board memory allowing you to save up to five distinct profiles which are customizable through the included software. The keyboard itself comes in a fairly compact and light form factor.

Will the Sentey Phoenix rise and soar above the competition or will it remain in the ashes? We intend to find out in our review.
