shitshot writes" That the Inquirer is reporting a bug found in office XP and it has the fix
The Greatest Satan of Software, Mr Softee, has introduced an "update" as it calls it to Microsoft Office XP Web Components.
This update is actually a fix for some yes, security problems in the components, and soft-screwdrivers the Web chart component and OWC.DLL.
It also fixes some problem in the Turkish version of the Office XP suite.
Mr Softee's "English" for patches to cure bugs is "Issues Fixed by the Update" which panics the hell out of us when we remember that schools seem to be standardising on Powerpointless, Word, and Excel.

and on a side note from the Inquirer
SOME GOOD NEWS, kids. A person believed to work for MS in Redmond, seems to be hinting that Microsoft will tweak the activation routine in WinXP to allow hardware freaks to meddle with their kit in a future update. Hoorah! If true.
