Thanks to SanDisk, we'll be taking a quick look at the Ultra 3D SSD 1TB (2.5? form factor). The 1TB model we'll be reviewing uses the latest 3D NAND technology and boasts a read speed of up to 560MB/sec with a write speed of up to 530MB/sec. In terms of specs, this SSD is virtually identical to the WD Blue 3D NAND SSD which we reviewed earlier last week. That's because it uses the same super fast Marvell 88SS1074 controller, as well as the same 3D NAND chips.

So are they the same drive but repackaged with a different firmware? I can go as far as to say ? most probably, since WD bought SanDisk last year (2016). Why waste the effort in producing 2 different SSDs ? one for WD and one for SanDisk, when all you have to do is just produce one, and repackage/rename them.
