Razer Cortex has us in a love-hate relationship at the beginning. We hate having to create an account and opt out of emails. We don't mind the deals on games, especially considering how cheap some of them are, but the fact is that Cortex is an excellent app for gaming and system optimization. Of course, Razer Cortex works similarly in this aspect as many game-downloading apps.

You can jump to Game Booster and System Booster from the first window. These can be found across the top at any time as well. Additionally, you'll find a Boost and FPS tab. We'll look at each of these briefly.

Game Booster allows you to manually add games so that any game-specific tweaks can be applied.

System Booster can scan and remove junk files, optimize your system, and defrag games. Each section has scan results where you can uncheck anything you don't want to do.

Smaller sub-categories include system info and diagnostic reports, boost, and FPS.

Overall, Razer Cortex makes it simple for anyone to optimize and tweak their computers and has enough advanced options for the geek.
