Quick Hash GUI is an Open Source multiplatform utility for hashing various types of data including files, entire file folder trees, physical disks, logical disk volumes, file comparisons and more. The interface is to the point and clearly marked making it a quite usable for any skill level it includes that ability to perform hashing via MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512 and xxHash hash algorithms. It allows recursive hashing, or hashing and copying to the reconstructed directory and re-hashing in the destination directory, simple recursive hashing of all files in a selected directory and its sub-directories along with the ability to hash physical disks in Windows and both physical & logical disks if run in Linux (using root or sudo), e.g. /dev/hda or /dev/hda1Quick Hash GUI enables digital forensic or IT security staff to efficiently hash files when the files have been extracted out from forensic software before or after transportation to non-forensic staff. It performed quickly during testing providing almost instantaneous results and appears to be faster than some other tools that we have worked with in the past. It supports drag n' drop for individual files to make it even faster. All your generated results can be can be quickly exported to a CSV text file, an HTML web file, or to the clipboard.
