Port Alert monitors and alerts you via text or email when a TCP port(s) timeout for a continuous period.
It supports both local and remote systems and WWW, FTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, POP3, IMAP, Oracle SQL, and MYSQL ports. You are enabled to select common ports such as port 21 or 80 directly from the drop-down menu. If the port you would like to target is not listed, you can easily add it to the monitoring list.
Port Alert works by sending queries every 10 seconds (default) to the URLs you have added. Then within your established parameters, it will then notify you of any performance timeouts.
