Placebo Cleaner does nothing but makes you feel good about "cleaning" your computer.

We have to admit, there was no way we were going to add this to MajorGeeks, but two things happened. The first was was April's Fools Day. The second was a computer brought to us just days ago with a broken Microsoft Office. They tried to delete files to make space when the real issue was that a larger hard drive was needed. The files they deleted fixed nothing and broke Microsoft Office. Had they used Placebo Cleaner, they could have saved me a few hours of our time.

Placebo Cleaner does a quick "scan" of your computer for RAM, Registry, Drives, and Gaming. On average, it will find over 25 issues. While it might be a joke, watching it scan the registry, for example, looks as real as it gets. You even get a nice soft beep after the scan and "repair."

Placebo Cleaner does nothing, and it does it well. It's even available as a portable app.
