USB 3.0, aka "SuperSpeed USB", is finally out, and it brings massively improved throughput and performance over USB 2.0. At 4.8Gbps, it's ten times faster than USB 2.0's maximum of 480Mbps. The only problem is that very few devices are available with USB 3.0 interfaces.
