These release notes provide information on the latest posting of ATI's industry leading software suite, Catalyst. This particular posting updates the ATI Display Driver to version 7.91. This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. This maintenance release focuses on stability fixes and as such, there are no display driver performance improvements with this release of Catalyst.
The Catalyst software suite 3.6 contains the following: Radeon display driver 7.91 Multimedia Center 8.5 HydraVision 3.21 Remote Wonder 1.5 The Catalyst software suite is designed to support the following ATI desktop product family: RADEON? 9800 series RADEON? 9700 series RADEON? 9600 series RADEON? 9500 series RADEON? 9200 series RADEON? 9100 series RADEON? 9000 series RADEON? 8500 series RADEON? 7500 series RADEON? 7200 series RADEON? 7000 series Note: All-in-Wonder products are supported as well. New Features: Force TV Detection Some TV sets may use non-standard inputs resulting in the TV enable button continuing to stay grayed out in the ATI Displays tab. This issue is address by a Troubleshoot button that is now available. This button allows the user to force detection of their TV. However, features that rely on automatic detection of the TV will not be supported on the TV display. TV detection will also need to be re-enabled each time the system is restarted.
