The recent activity of the chipset manufacturers is simply surprising. Chipsets are released one after another and, frankly speaking, we have to work really hard to present to our readers all the details about the architecture and performance of the newcomers. Indeed, in the nearest times the competition in the chipset market was primarily held between VIA and Intel, but recently AMD, SiS and VIA joined it having started to manufacture quite competitive products. That seems to be not the end of the story, however. There are completely new players trying to invade the chipset market now.
