As said here , Novell has registered for the copyrights on UNIX System V 2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.2/386, 4.0, 4.1, 4.1ES, 4.1ES/386, 4.2, and 4.2MP with the U.S. Copyright Office. Which SCO has already claimed for ownership and is trying to spam Fortune 1000 linux using companies to seek damages for IP infringement. I remember getting all cozy on reading Novell's take-over of Ximian (a linux developer) for 200 millions (approx.) and also about rumours of IBM thinking of getting Novell.
But if this news by Groklaw.net is true, then all hell might break loose in the linux world and that makes me sick. But Guess who is happy with this news? For complete synopsis on Novell's SystemV code registration warp2.. Groklaw.net
