Norton Subscription Services

Here's a new one from Norton trying rip you the customer?

I just tried to renew my Norton Subscription Services for Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti-Virus and to my dismay I was told that the products that I bought 2 years ago are now obsolete and I should buy Norton Internet Security 2003 which includes Norton Anti-Virus 2003 because the person on the phone tells me that the latest viruses can attack your PC and disable it unless I have their 2003 products? Hehe even thought I can updated may Subscription Services from their website. all I rang upto ask was the £17.53 plus tax did it include the Anti-Virus updates apart from Internet Security updates.

Update Looks like my produt is obsolete after all and so are the following products: and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he put the phone down on me! customer services @ there best LOL? Have you had the same problems

Update I am on the phone to Norton! it's been 20 mins and I am still waiting for a Norton customer services person to pick up the phone....If I am late posting the news blame Norton

Norton AntiVirus 2001 Professional Edition Norton AntiVirus 2001 for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME Norton AntiVirus 2000 for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 Norton Internet Security 2001 Family Edition 3.0 Norton Internet Security 2001 3.0 Norton Internet Security 2001 Family Edition 2.5 Norton Internet Security 2001 2.5 Norton Internet Security 2000 - Family Edition 2.0 Norton Internet Security 2000 2.0 Norton Internet Security 2000 Norton Personal Firewall 2001 3.0 Norton Personal Firewall 2001 2.5 for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 Norton Personal Firewall 2000 2.x Norton SystemWorks 2001 4.0 Standard Edition Norton SystemWorks 2001 4.0 Professional Edition Norton SystemWorks 2000

So what this means is that all the products that I just mention will no longer have Subscription Services that you can buy or Make a deinstall and clean install of your Norton product as Degger put's it but that won't work either I've tried and If it wasn't for me having to phone them I would have bought the Subscription Services only for it not to work! then you would ring Norton customer services to be told that they no longer support your product and you need to upgrade to 2003! Not a nice way to do buniess Norton.
