News from the front: Last friday ATI apparently released new developer drivers namely Windows XP version 6043. I spoke to Thomas Bruckschlegel of ToMMTI-Systems. He reported that Vulpine GL-Mark scores increased from 35,4/105/20 to 41,7/113/21. Also RtCW performed well. He was told by ATI that the HPB is caused by an OpenGL texgen call error. He now fired off an EMail to John Carmack of id software to find out if anything new could be reported from a professional point of view...

ATi told me, it was some mixed texgen issue. That was one of the conformance problems that I was working around. There is a crashing problem they are still working on, and the average performance is still lower than an NV20. John Carmack Source: ToMMTI-Systems - german site
