Ibelite have got report's of a new VIRUS!
A virus is spreading around the Internet like wildfire. It is called "Jerry" and it affects MSN Messenger.
Basically the file hooks up to the MSN executable, running in the background, and offers the people that you chat with a pic (PIC1324(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1).exe) which in fact is the virus' installer. The virus is not smart, in that it offers instructions on how to remove it.
If you are infected, follow these instructions:
How to remove me: 1) Click Start, select Run. The Run dialog box pops up. 2) Type: msconfig The System Configuration Utility pops up. 3) Click the Startup tab at the top. In the list, find MsgSprd, Messenger, or pic1324, uncheck, press Apply, then press Ok. 4) Restart your computer Or press Ctrl-Alt-Del (Task Manager), select Msg Sprd from the list, then press End Task.
You may freely delete the files or the 'C:Messenger1324' directory. Those are taken right from the EXE file or the readme file in C:Messenger1324."
