Thanks to advancements in technology and reductions in manufacturing costs over the last 10 years, TFTs have become more and more prevalent to the point where you can pick up a 22" for just over £150. In contrast to that, the highest end ones, are still damn expensive with the benchmark of 24" monitors often being the Dell Ultrasharp models costing around £400.
