Mozilla Offers Money for Security Bugs

The Mozilla Foundation, makers of the popular Firefox web browser, announced a new rewards program to help them find security exploits in their open-source software. The "Mozilla Security Bugs Bounty Program" will pay you $500 for each security bug that you report to the Mozilla Foundation. The staff will judge whether or not the security bug reported is significant enough to earn the $500. "The goal is pretty simple," says Chris Hofmann, the foundation's director of engineering.
