Only 10 months ago ATI were launching Mobility Radeon 9700 as their high end mobile oriented PC graphics part, with an eye on serious mobile gaming. However, while the part had few peers in terms of performance, it still left something to be desired as a viable alternative to desktop PC?s for those serious about their 3D performance.
ATI later took the next step a few months later, with Dell, by releasing the Mobility Radeon 9800, offering more or less the full performance of an enthusiast desktop graphics board, however now they are taking that even further with the M28 based Mobility Radeon X800, with it 6 Vertex Shaders and 12 pixel pipelines with DirectX9 Shader 2.x functionality.
Here we take a look at the performance of Mobility Radeon X800 and compare it against both Mobility Radeon 9800 and some of its desktop relations. Read the full review here.
