Metadefender Cloud Client performs a deep endpoint forensic analysis for malware using several unique methods.

Metadefender Cloud Client focuses on three types of scanning:

Memory Module Multi-Scanning: running processes and dynamic link libraries (DLL) analyzed using over 40 anti-malware engines
Local Anti-malware Analysis: a unique and effective analysis of anti-malware log files
Rogue IP Detection: ensuring there are no network connections to a rogue IP address using several IP reputation sources

We found Metadefender Cloud Client to be impressive in scanning speed and results. Like any app, your scan time will vary depending on how many programs are on your computer. In our testing, we would guess the average time to be 30 minutes. On our Window 10 VMWare test machine snapshot (that is intentionally behind on Windows Updates and antivirus for testing apps just like this) it located Windows Updates we were missing and specifically, what vulnerabilities were related to each. That said, it also uses multiple scanning engines similar to VirusTotal resulting in similar false positives.

Metadefender Cloud Client can also check the vulnerability status of Windows Defender, OneDrive, Backup and Restore, and so much more. Frankly, it covers so many areas of your hardware, software, memory, installed apps, and suspicious files that thoroughly reviewing it all would take pages. A log file can be generated as well as exported. Metadefender Cloud Client can also optionally actively monitor as well.

The commercial version supports additional operating systems including Debian, Ubuntu, and CentOS Linux.

While Metadefender Cloud Client biggest claim is malware analysis, it does an incredible job of finding every possible vulnerability on your machine. It's free, portable and we give it 5 stars without hesitation and will use it on our daily computer. Give it a try and see if you agree.
