Win+X Menu Editor has an interface we found intuitive, and we were able to jump right in by removing links and adding programs or shortcuts to Settings or Administrative tools. Creating a new group was also easy to organize everything, just the way we wanted to. You can use the menu at the top, or right-click on any item to see your options including rename, move to top or bottom, move down, move to a group, add, and more.

Once all your changes are applied, there's a convenient "Restart Explorer" so you can test your new setup effortlessly. Additionally, there's a Remove button but be careful as this can delete an entire group of links. That said, there's also a Restore defaults option so you can start all over, so there's not much that can go wrong with this app.



Win+X Menu Editor is due for an update, at least at the time of testing with Windows 10 v1903 as some items have been changed. For example, you can't add or remove the Mobility Center even though it's listed. We also ran into occasional errors. Win+X Menu Editor strong suit is the ability to delete or rename any items, and for real power users, you can add new groups and shortcuts. Anyone who finds themselves using the Win X menu will love this program.
