Here's a snip to make your mouth water: How important is a good story to a video game, and is it as essential to great gameplay as many people would believe nowadays? Given the relatively high production value of today's games, is it justifiable to expect thirty or forty hours of playing time, knowing full well that games have become such a high-profile business? These are just some of the questions that lingered in my head after finishing the single-player chapter of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. If I had to encompass MoH in a single sentence, I'd say this is the kind of game that made me believe in the bright future of gaming, and at the same time, strengthened my belief that we're still far off from the level of professionalism needed to boost this form of entertainment to a more prominent cultural level.
