Its been 6 months since Matrox announced their latest graphics processor, the Parhelia-512 GPU.
The initial round of web reviews didn't paint Parhelia in an entirely positive light because it's gaming performance wasn't quite there in comparison to Nvidia's GeForce 4 Ti 4600, and certainly not in comparison to what ATI had in store a few months later. Was this lack of performance purely down to a relatively new drivers and a little development might show a healthy difference? What else sets Parhelia out from the pack? Where is it aimed at now? It's time to take a look at Parhelia Beyond3D style to see if they can answer some of these questions.
