DigitalInsanity.org has just wrapped up a showdown between the Creative LiveDrive!, FrontX CPX Multimedia Ports, and the NewQ Platinum.
Here's a snippet: Although the NewQ platinum received a slightly higher rating than the LiveDrive! and the FrontX CPX Multimedia ports, each of these products have their pros and their cons. These three products are actually geared towards different audiences - the LiveDrive! for Musicians and Audio Professionals, the CPX for power users, and the NewQ just features a variety of appeal. All three of these products are excellent purchases if you have a spare 5 1/4" drive bay and want to fill it up with something neat or useful. Personally, I'm having trouble deciding if I should keep the LiveDrive! or the CPX Multimedia ports in my computer (as with both installed my InWin Q500 is using up all 5 of it's drive bays, and I'm considering obtaining a slightly smaller case). For those who frequent LAN parties, it's hard to decide between all 3 of these products, as each one can be useful, depending on the type of LAN Party. The CPX allows you to hook up a joystick easily to your computer (good for those flight sim games), the LiveDrive! has it's volume control, and the NewQ just looks awesome in a custom LAN party box.
