Last Samurai is a 3d Arcade PacMan style game where you try to save Geishas in different labyrinths while escaping the evil Ninjas.

Last Samurai does require installation that takes a minute or two. From the introduction screen, you can start or continue a game, change options, get help, or quit. Options include graphics quality, music volume, sounds volume, and blood level. Everything is handled by the mouse until you play, at which point you use the keyboard.

We found it took a few minutes to get a feel for it. There are power-ups, timers, and most importantly, swords. We found getting the swords and wiping out the ninjas while running toward the Geishas was our best plan. There are also bonus timers to be found as you run towards some of the timers often making this a win-win.

A couple of annoyances - after installation and when you close the game, the author's homepage is opened. While we don't begrudge an author marketing themselves, we don't need to be asked to rate the game every time we close it. A shortcut that can be deleted is placed on your desktop to download their other games.

We would like to see some improved sounds, but we enjoyed the concept and playability of Last Samurai. More importantly, what PacMan fan can resist a different take on the classic game?
