LaCie is one of the few companies out there who consistently make products which are as nice to LOOK at as they are to use. Their latest wunderkind, the Lacie 2Big RAID storage solution - powered by none other than USB 3.0 - looks to continue this trend with an all metal design that is very striking and RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD modes. The Verdict:
The LaCie 2Big USB 3.0 RAID solution is a very fast, powerful and good looking unit; unfortunately, it also a big unit with an even bigger price. If you have the spare desktop real-estate to accommodate it and can afford one drop dead sexy drive, it is worth taking a long hard look at.

- Slider and confirm button needed to change modes can be confusing at first
- To get the most from this unit you need to use the custom driver
- RAID 0 is not a great choice for most situations
- In real world situations, you will most likely NOT get all the RAID 0 speed unless you pair the 2Big USB 3.0 to an internal RAID array
