This comprehensive sound creator is capable of producing a wide variety of sound effects that can be used for anything from games to system sound replacements. You have a nice selection of features to play around and test, but it also includes a few presets along with a randomizing option to ease you into producing your own.

LabChirp allows you to manipulate frequencies, envelopes, waveforms, envelopes as well other technical audio parameters, so you build up unique sound effects. LabChirp is set up so that you can begin producing sounds almost immediately with fun results. It supports multi-channel playback and blending, standard and custom waveforms, modulation, and output fo 22050/44100 Hz and 8-bit/16-bit.

We had way too much fun testing this app much to the dismay of the family dog - she was not a fan of the echo effect. But a few of our one-off sound effects will be used for our email received notification as well as uploaded file completion in FTP. Fun stuff.
